The perfect finish by the Slovaks on Friday may have taken the Canadians by surprise, but Roberto Luongo came up with the save of his life when he got his catching glove on Pavol Demitra's shot in the waning moments.
The save preserved a 3-2 victory for Canada, setting up a huge continental matchup for the gold medal on Sunday against Team USA. Luongo, who gave up goals to Lubomir Visnovsky and Michal Handzus in the final period to make it interesting, will get to start in the biggest game of his life with the top prize .

Getzlaf scores two goal for Ducks
It is known that Getzlaf played in the anaheim ducks jersey on Sunday against the Edmonton Oilers, he scored two goals and finished with four points in the final NHL game before the Olympic break. Unless the high-ankle sprain he suffered acts up again, it guarantees he will play for Team Canada.
Getzlaf had the primary assist on goals by Corey Perry and Scott Niedermayer, then added a pair of third-period goals in the game. He had missed the team’s game on Saturday against the Calgary Flames, and Yzerman said he hoped Getzlaf would play so Team Canada could judge if he would be healthy enough to play in the Olympics. Jeff Carter of the Philadelphia Flyers was selected to go to Vancouver but Getzlaf's performance seems to indicate he will be ready to go.
