It is reported that Erik Cole suffered a lot in his left leg from last night’s collision with Bruins' Dennis Wideman and will miss 4 to 6 weeks' plays. Cole had missed Sunday’s practice with the injury, with Tuomo Ruutu moving to Eric Staal’s wing.
Team Coach Paul Maurice said after practice that there is no problem inserting Tim Conboy, who is on the roster as the 13th forward, into the lineup in case Cole could not go. Conboy can help provide a physical spark which the Canes lacked in their first two games, and he was active in that department in practice.
